The woodswitch is a hermit by choice and lives in the mountains above Northgate. She cures ailments both real and imagined by the townsfolk by utilizing her knowledge of herb lore to make salves, poultices, and spells. She shares her home with a cat named Volker and a plethora of books ranging from the mundane to the occult.

A man bound by the law and his own stubborn worldview of black and white. His wife Gertrude and son Benjamin are his only concerns beyond cleaning up Northgate. When he discovers an unsolvable crime he'll need a little witchcraft and to set aside his moral code.
